Perfect for hair that needs some TLC. This bar will add some moisturise and deep condition your hair follicles.

Zero-Waste shampoo bars are the perfect solution, packaged plastic free and developed with compostable & recyclable packaging. Shampoo Bars are the lastest trend that are dramatically reducing the average persons plastic waste every year.

Some of the benefits of switching to shampoo bars aren’t just in the reduction of plastic but due to their more natural qualities, they can help increase hair volume, make your hair grow faster and provide you with more healthy hair!

Suitable for all hair types.

If you would like your shampoo bar sent without a tin, please add 'NO TIN' to your order notesnaked ;)

Great Eco shampoo bar

Lovely shampoo bar- don't need much to lather hair!

Where's the lather?

Excited to try this out, as I'm already an eager convert to shampoo bars. Unfortunately I couldn't get it to lather at all, it just did nothing while I rubbed it round and round between my wet hands (in the shower) then repeatedly rubbed it over my wet hair...(I don't need a SLS type lather, my old bottled shampoo had minimal lather as it was a natural one, but this was doing NOTHING!) Finally after adding more water and persevering, a little light suds appeared, increasing with more rubbing and water. Kind of like using soaproot or soap nuts! I have to say it smelled gorgeous, lile real jasmine flowers, but this didn't last once dried. On rinsing off, my hair felt heavy and waxy. I did a cider vinegar rinse, which helped a little bit. Then used the bar conditioner, which thankfully broke up the clumps of waxy hair and made it feel soft and smooth again so I could comb it through. Dried it off and it felt soft but quite limp. The next day it looked and felt flat but very soft. I think it was just too moisturising for my hair, and would be more suitable for very dry, damaged, frizzy or African hair (mine is just a bit dry). It lasted 3 or 4 days though before looking greasy, which surprised me. But one advantage of these gentle bar shampoos is they don't over stimulate oil production if you wash too often. I tried using it instead as a body moisturiser (left nothing after drying) and hand/face soap, still couldn't draw more than a milky residue from it even after vigorous rubbing, but seemed to clean well without leaving skin too tight. So the "soaping" ingredient seems to work reasonably well, just maybe too much cocoa/shea butter or something?
I tried the rose quartz bar next and got much better results (tho the ingredients are very similar)... Would like to get a refund or swap on this one!

Smells lovely but no lather

I thought I'd try this after using the Jasmine shampoo bar (which I loved) but I'm pretty disappointed. It doesn't lather up at all, I tried to run it through my hair and it's so rough it hurts, so I persevered with lathering between my palms but you just get a milky residue. Don't know if I'll be able to continue using it 👎

Why choose us?

MY LITTLE ECO SHOP

We are small team based in Exeter, Devon, UK. We began MY LITTLE ECO SHOP in January 2020 with the purpose of bringing affordable eco-options to the market. When making the switch to eco products, we were shocked at the prices for sustainable products. We wanted to therefore create a shop that sourced the best eco products we could find that were affordable and minimalistic. Our mission is to create a minimalistic collection of eco-products that don't push consumerism through greenwashing but instead host a collection of bare essential eco products that are fairly priced for consumers.
