Love it - but oh so easy to spill!

The colour of this is lovely and a little goes a long way. Much less ‘larey’ when lightly dusted on to the face with one of ‘my little eco shop’ brushes than it looks in the tin. However I have found the tin extremely difficult to deal with! The tin is very full of the loose powder and needs to be opened very carefully to stop it spilling everywhere. A mesh/ gauze type material attached to the top of the tin would be most welcome. The other problem I have had, as the tin is so full the powder spills over on to the outside of the tin and gets into the threads making it very difficult to open and close as it sticks and results in many spills. This is a lovely product, but with a bit of thought put into the tin top design, it could be wonderful!

Good but could be wonderful!

This is a gorgeous shade of pink. I was worried it might be too dark as I am very pale and possibly too glittery but it's actually really nice on and the shimmer is very subtle.

The container is very full and one sleepy morning I opened it upside down. The loose powder got everywhere! So I had to scrub the carpet (luckily it comes off easily enough with soap and water) but now every time I open the lid, I get more 'fallout' so I have to put an old towel down to catch the excess. If the powder was flattened or compressed there wouldn't be an issue.

Also it's very rich so less is definitely more! I had to experiment with the brush I use to apply it with as I found my kabuki style brush just plants the powder on my cheeks to densely and it's hard to spread evenly so you end up with 'Aunt Sally' cheeks.

I literally dust some powder on a very soft brush and sweep it gently where I want it, the softer brush and using less certainly helps the application but it can still be too much. I need to keep experimenting with how much I load onto my brush.

As it's so rich in colour, it has great staying power. I am a bit of a fidget so I am always pushing my hair off my face or touching my face and it is still present after a whole days wear and as I mentioned before, you need very little.

I am two minds about purchasing this again. There are so many bonuses; great colour, good staying power and you don't need alot making it good value for money but the escaping powder and needing a towel every time is a let down. I also think it wouldn't travel well because of this fact too.

I think if the powder was compressed then it would be a staple, good value for money favourite for me......

Lots of powder!

This is a big tin of powder! Bit scary to look at however a tiny bit on a fingertip ends up looking very natural. Gently rub on then brush over with a cotton wool pad. Lovely.

Why choose us?

MY LITTLE ECO SHOP

We are small team based in Exeter, Devon, UK. We began MY LITTLE ECO SHOP in January 2020 with the purpose of bringing affordable eco-options to the market. When making the switch to eco products, we were shocked at the prices for sustainable products. We wanted to therefore create a shop that sourced the best eco products we could find that were affordable and minimalistic. Our mission is to create a minimalistic collection of eco-products that don't push consumerism through greenwashing but instead host a collection of bare essential eco products that are fairly priced for consumers.
